Nikken's scheme revealed
In mid-November 1990, Nikken made phone calls to temple members belonging to Hoden-ji temple in Kita Kyushu, and directly ordered them to disassociate Soka Gakkai members. This was one month before the delivery of their "inquiry document" to the Soka Gakkai in December 16th, 1990. Nikken also encouraged Kokyo Akiyama, then chief priest of Hoden-ji, to become "a exemplary model for the disassociation movement in Japan." Nichiren Shoshu has been claiming that the friction with the Soka Gakkai originated because of the speech made by President Ikeda on November 16th, 1990. In reality, Nikken's actions were based on "Operation C," which was first planned in the summer of 1990. It all started much earlier, as is now obvious.
